Veeam Hyper-V offhost - iscsi teaming?

Hi.
We have been using network backup mode for a customer but now have the possibility to connect the backup server (repository is on the same server) directly to the iscsi network. The customer is using HP Lefthand / Storevirtual SANs.
I want to leverage the direct san backup mode.
The server has multiple network nics avaiable (1Gbps) and I was wondering if it is supported that i use Windows Server 2012 R2 to create a team of network card to connect to the san-network? Or am I suppose to used MPIO?

Seems you can team shared NICs with built-in NIC Teaming (LBFO) solution.
