Veeam plus SCVMM 2008 and SCVMM 2012

Hello!

I'm using Veeam B&R 6.5 (6.5.0128) to replicate virtual machines between 2 remote site ("A" and "B").
SCVMM 2008 is used at site "A" and SCVMM 2012 is used at site "B".
Already installed the VMM Console of both versions on Backup server.
But when I add the SCVMM servers it shows an error like "incompatible versions of VMM console 2012 and VMM console 2008".

Does anybody know what could be wrong and how to resolve this issue?

Hello Igor,

I'm not sure it is possible to install two versions of SCVMM consoles on the same machine, so replicating between two different versions of SCVMM is not possible. As a workaround you may want to add standalone hosts/clusters to the backup console and configure replication jobs through these connections.

Additionally, please be aware that replication between different Hyper-V versions is only possible in case of "2008 -> 2012". However, the reverse isn’t true - Replication from Hyper-V 2012 down to Hyper-V 2008R2 is not supported by Veeam B&R.
