Veeam replication cannot applying Re-IP rule
Hy!
I have a replication job which has a one VM and one Re-IP- rules. The source VM network is:
IP: 10.0.1.168
Mask: 255.255.255.0
The replica VM IP address should be:
IP:10.0.1.10
Mask: 255.255.255.0
GW:10.0.1.254
DNS:10.0.1.1
When I run the failover process, I got a warning message: "Applying re-IP rules" message. The replica VM is start on the target host with the original IP address(10.0.1.168). Why cannot applying re-IP rules?
Thanks.

Re: Veeam replication cannot applying Re-IP rule
Hard to say, but if you just changed Re-IP settings in VBR console, make sure to replicate VM at least once after that change, because re-IP settings are stored on par with target VM.
If it still doesn't trigger Re-IP, feel free to open a ticket to find a root cause.

Re: Veeam replication cannot applying Re-IP rule
When I configured the Re-IP rules, I started the replication. After finished the replication I run the failover, and get a warning message: "Applying re-IP rules". The replicated VM IP address has the IP address of the original VM.

Re: Veeam replication cannot applying Re-IP rule
Oh, I think found the problem. The problem was that the original VM had DHCP IP address. I reconfigured it to static IP address, run the replication job, and the failover process applied the Re-IP rule.

Re: Veeam replication cannot applying Re-IP rule
Thanks for the update. Yes, original machine IP address should be set(Static) to get changed by Re-IP option. Glad it worked out!
