VeeamZIP backup
Hello,
I created VeeamZIP backup on target host. Than I copied that file to my Veeam server and imported it to console. Question is how can I point to that backup and create a new backup job so that I get only changes insted of a new backup. If I look at my repository i am not able to find that backup when I choose map backup.
Does it works with VeeamZIP to do that or I have to create backup with backup job on target host and then map it?

Re: VeeamZIP backup
Mapping to an existing backup is not possible without VBM file and VeeamZIP does not produce the VBM file. You should use an ordinary backup job to create a seed.

Re: VeeamZIP backup
So that means that first i create ordinary backup and place it on target host. That I can point to it when I create new backup job and use seed?

Re: VeeamZIP backup
Potentially, this obsolete PS script might do the trick and create a required .vbm file from existing .vbk file for you.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: VeeamZIP backup
I created first backup job and saved it on target repository. Than I created new job and when I click on map backup i pointed to target backup. HMM where it will save backup? If a map backup which is on target is that backup still gonna reside on target or? I cant change repository there?

Re: VeeamZIP backup
The backup of the mapped job will be created in the same repository where the seed is stored. Btw, here is the step-by-step procedure for seeding a backup.
