VeeamZIP faulty retention

Post by check4backup » Feb 11, 2019 9:27 am

Hi,
when i call Start-VBRZip ich can set the retention In3Days. But Veeam deletes the backup after two days and 2 hours. This is wrong.
Backup 05.02.2019 10.00 pm In3Days
Delete 08.02.2019 00.15 am
Veeam compares only the day from backup not the comple timestamp. If i specific In3Days, the earliest point to delete is here 08.02.2019 10.00 pm and not 00.15 am. So i need an option In4Days or In5Days.
Best regards

Hi,
As far as I am concerned there is no 3days retention option in VeeamZIP UI, the shortest is 1 week.

Or you start it with powershell script?
If so, please provide the command.
Thanks!

Got it.
Technically what you need is retention = 72 hours, but there is no such an option. Let's count it as a feature request.
Thanks!
