Version 10 upgrade Error on Host components
Case ID: #01730647
Updated to Version 10 and I have one backup proxy that will not update with error: "Failed to upgrade host components. Error 'Unable to install .NET Framework, see install log for details". I have no idea where this install log is and I have rebooted this host server multiple times.
Any help is appreciated as this is also a server that houses a repository and I'm unable to run backups until I can upgrade it.
Other two host servers updated just fine. Same OS Windows Server 2016 DC.

Re: Version 10 upgrade Error on Host components
Update, just tried to install the .NET installer that the Veeam update tries to install and it tells me it's already installed?

Not sure where to go from here. Waiting on support.

Hi Rebecca, sorry to hear, let's wait for the engineer's reply, they will be able to check the install logs and tell the reason for the failure. Thanks!

I had put in the wrong case #. Correct one is Case #04278520.
Update: A case was opened with Microsoft.

Thanks for the correction - thus we will be able to check the case outcome if anyone else encounters similar behavior in future.

Re: Version 10 upgrade Error on Host components
It was a bad .NET 4.7.2 install. Microsoft had to unzip the KB, find the .cab file that was failing and remove it and reinstall with DISM.
In case anyone was wondering or comes across this in the future.
