VM W2019 fails with "no trust relationship to domain"

Post by StephanG »

Hi everyone,

i deployed a new W2019 machine into our DMZ. I have a RODC in this DMZ with the respective computer accounts cached.
I can log on to the server (RDP), i can open the admin$ from the Backupserver and there are no blocks in the Firewall log.
Veeam V10

But it keeps failing with:
02.04.2020 07:56:12] <38> Warning Cannot connect to the host's administrative share. Host: [XX]. Account: [XX\XX].
[02.04.2020 07:56:12] <38> Warning Win32 error:The trust relationship between this workstation and the primary domain failed.
[02.04.2020 07:56:12] <38> Warning Code: 1789
[02.04.2020 07:56:12] <38> Error [HvVssConnectionCreator] Failed to create VssConnection
[02.04.2020 07:56:12] <38> Error Failed to connect to guest agent. Errors:
[02.04.2020 07:56:12] <38> Error 'Cannot connect to the host's administrative share. Host: [XX]. Account: [XX\XX].
[02.04.2020 07:56:12] <38> Error Win32 error:The trust relationship between this workstation and the primary domain failed.

If this would be the case i could not login and there would be errors at the DCs logs?

There is one audit failure on the server:
Service Request Information:
Privileges: SeTcbPrivilege

But the account is in the Administrators Group.

Anyone with a fix? Or do i have to open a support case?

Best regards
Stephan

Ok there is an error:
Failure Information:
Failure Reason: An Error occured during Logon.
Status: 0xC000018D
Sub Status: 0x0
Detailed Authentication Information:
Logon Process: NtLmSsp
Authentication Package: NTLM
Transited Services: -
Package Name (NTLM only): -
Key Length: 0

I now took the local administrator account to get things going. This works.
