I thought I would ask the collective Veeam Hive Mind before the laborious task of starting an MS support case .... We have many Server 2022 Hyper-V systems in place and all are fine except this one. The difference is, that these problematic systems have a Single AMD CPU Socket and the ones that do not have an issue are Intel 2x Socket (or more) CPUs. All have the same Broadcom 10GB NIC. The issues only happen when the systems are being backed up. We get the following in the event logs and it looks like the same issue that was present years ago with Server 2012 and Broadcom. The "fix" back then was to disable VMQ. Has anyone else seen this in Server 2022? Thanks in advance.
Failed to allocate VMQ for NIC 5ABFB5B3-5739-47DF-A02F-B29152D9D89C--4C3E3EDF-4C85-4B7F-886C-DF5F7460317F (Friendly Name: Network Adapter) on switch B78750F6-8729-442D-AD32-C303AE0E3EFA (Friendly Name: VM network SET). Reason - Cannot evaluate utilization plan. Status = Insufficient system resources exist to complete the API
I don't have seen this issue in our labs. I have also search in our supported cases from the last 2 months.
While we wait if others have seen a similar issue, I recommend to open a support case with our support, so we can check the logs from our side. Please provide the case number for our reference.
