Re: VMs Backup fails due to Trend Micro, Case ID# 02472655

Hi Ahmad,

First: Again, thanks for coming back to us. This is actually great information. I will inform our support engineers about this and ask to update the KB (they will run some internal test also)
Maybe one final question from my side (if you have the time). Besides the exclusions in kb1999, and this new specific one. Did you excluded other items also?

Thanks again
Mike

Hi Mike,

I excluded also \Device\HarddiskVolumeShadowCopy* but that did not work, after excluding \Device\Harddisk\* , all is ok.

Is excluding of
\Device\HarddiskVolume*
still relevant? https://www.veeam.com/kb1999 There is noting about in the KB1999.

Hello,
and welcome to the forums.

Asking the other way around: did you see any issues with / without that exclusion? If you saw issues, what is the support case number?

The answer above is 5 years old, so it might be that Trendmicro changed things.

Best regards,
Hannes

no errors or problems right now. i was checking the current setup of exclusions for some machines. i thought it could be a good idea to ask if something has changed.

based on a quick google seach, i found this TrendMicro KB from 2021.--> https://success.trendmicro.com/dcx/s/so ... uage=en_US
