Vmware to Hyperv migration

Post by dejvv »

Currently I am in the middle of the migration between vmware and hyperv, I have backup jobs that backs up from vmware servers.

Can I use same jobs and add the virtual machines that have been migrated to the hyper-v as I cannot select the hyper v server.

I have added the server in the managed server.

Hello DG

A new job will be required.
Make sure to add the server as a HyperV server (not just managed server) and then create a new "Microsoft Hyper-V" backup job:

I am setting up a new backup job on the vms that I moved from vmware to hyperv however I have a linux vm (ubuntu) that is not accepting the password (when I do the guest credential test) even though I selected the appropriate login (that is originally in the vmware backup job)

If I switch off the vm on the hyperv and switch on the vm in the vmware and test the login there it works :S
