Unfortunately, we do not support Windows 10 with the Hyper-V role as a hypervisor. Only the Windows Server family is supported. I'm merging your question with a related thread - please take a brief look for additional information.

But I think, you have to add an Error Message in BR, when user try to add Win10 hypervisor.
I spent a lot of time trying to figure out what the problem.

Thank you for the suggestion.

These machines running Windows 10 can act as backup infrastructure components, for example, Backup Proxy, Repository, etc. - that's why it is possible to add them to Backup Infrastructure.

But I tink BR have to warn when add NOT server Hyper-V.
This will make this great product a little better.
