Good Day
I'm planing to implement Veeam in our 4 node Hyper V Cluster environment. all 4 nodes are running on windows sever 2008 R2 Core. Have checked the documentation but havent found anything about the core version so far... just want to know, is it supported? also as Proxy and Repository Server?
thanks

Hi Andre,
Yes, it is fully supported and it does not matter if the server you are installing backup proxy on is core, or full blown.
Thanks!

Re: Windows Server 2008 Hyper V Core
Thanks Vitaly
What would you personaly prefer onhost or offhost backup when working with a 4 node cluster with csv volumes? Cluster Volumes are presented from IBM SVC, which i have seen should be supported for Hardware VSS Provider in Hyper V.
thanks
regards

I would definitely recommend using offhost backup mode, as in this case backup processing will be shifted from the source Hyper-V host to a dedicated backup proxy and your production host will remain unaffected by the backup job processing load.
