Disable "Refresh Hardware Information"

Post by gacasare@ar.ibm.com » Dec 06, 2018 2:56 pm

Hello everyone.
We got a tool for monitoring hardware in our plattform, so we need to disable this monitor, to eliminate the "refresh hardware information" message in our vcenter. Is there a way to do this? We're using Veeam One 9.5.

Thanks in advance!

Hello Gustavo and welcome to the community!
There is an option to disable particular performance metrics collection. You can also disable Host hardware status alarm.
But I believe there is no option to disable hardware information data collection in ONE. It doesn't consume much of resources though. Could you specify why do you want to eliminate it?

Hi Shestakov, thanks for your response!
We want to disable it because we have another HW monitor method, so we dont want to see every five minutes this activity logs in our vcenters. I dont know why in such great tool rsult so complicated to disable an opion!
I will check now the link you send.

Thanks again!

Hardware statuses collection should bring insignificant load.
So the elimination will just make it look better. Anyway, I'll ask developers if it's technically possible.
