Firewall exception for Veeam Monitor?

Post by cterrell9 »

Does anyone know the specific Windows Firewall exception that needs to be added for the Veeam monitor client to be able to connect? i have it running on the same server as vCenter and I added an exception for Monitor.exe, but it still won't connect unless I disable the firewall completely.

Thank you!

The list of TCP/UDP ports used for communication between Monitor client and server is provided in the product Getting Started Guide, page 12: TCP ports 139, 445, 1039 and UDP ports 137, 1434.

I have all of those enabled, but I still get the "Could not connect to database" message. Is there another range that needs to be opened?

Is 443 not also required?

I got it! I apparently had the SQL port 1433 tcp only opened to the local subnet. Once I changed my scope to include the VPN network I was in. Thanks guys!
