I created a custom alarm and selected the event types "DasHostFailedEvent", no event substring, and the assigned severity is "Error." I assigned it to the top level and allowed propagation. I can see the event in vCenter but it's not triggering in Veeam reporter. I found that event type from http://www.veeam.com/support/vcEvents.html so it seems like it should work but doesn't. I performed an init 6 from the cmd line on an ESX host for testing but no veeam event triggered.
Please help.
Thanks

Re: HA Event not triggering...
Hi Joe,
Yes, it should work. Do you see this event in the Veeam Monitor Events tab?
If you you see it then contact your our support team and let them investigate why this alarm hasn't been triggered. Thanks.

No, it doesn't show up there either. I think it's a setting that I may have incorrect.

Re: HA Event not triggering...
Well that explains why the alarm hasn't been triggered. I'm pretty sure that all the settings were configured correctly. I wonder why this event hasn't been forwarded to Veeam Monitor... Actually this is the first time I hear about such an issue.
