Lockdown Alarm setting & management

Post by mwilliams »

Is there a way to lock-down access to Alerts and global configurations within vMonitor v5, so that only administrator can modify and/or delete alarm profiles. Could this be done via permissions within tables in the dB? Trying to setup Monitor so other users can use, but not modify the setting.

Hello Mark,

There is no way to configure a lockdown mode via GUI, but editing SQL tables permissions might do the trick, let me double check that for you with our Dev team.

Thanks!

Mark, you could try setting read-only permissions on Alarm table via SQL Management Studio, should help.
