Monitor reports - Excel 2007

Post by dgwhite »

I am in a trial of Monitor and I am attempting to view a report and I am getting an error that I don't have Excel 2007. Is there any way to use Excel 2003? That is our corporate standard.

Thanks,

Dan

Hello Dan, unfortunately no. The reason is that we do use some advanced functionality only available in Excel 2007.

Why does VEEAM not disable some feautures on trend reports so excel 2003 can be used or even open office?
The monitor program has great potentials but is useless for companies who does not use office 2007.

Pieter, this might be good idea actually. While it is impossible to deliver the same functionality with Excel 2003 due to lack of features on Excel side, we can still try to deliver at least part of those features, while disabling the rest. I will check on this with the development team.

Looks great if it can be arranged. My gues enduser can appricated a popup with a warning that some feature are only available when MS excel 2007 is installed.
