newly connected host not responding
I'm evaluating the free version, and have successfully connected a vcenter server, but am unable to add a separate host (not connected to vcenter)
I've tried adding the host by IP and by hostname, and it will appear in the list, however the status soon changes to "not responding"
Is there a port or something that needs to be opened? Its a new 4.1 host.

Hello Eloise,
Could you please tell me what do you see when you right-click on the host to get the error message? Besides, are you able to connect to that host via vSphere Client from the same machine?

Hi
I am able to connect to the host via vsphere on the same machine.
The error says "cannot complete login due to an incorrect user name or password"
I have tried several times to re-enter the credentials, and the veeam monitor is able to connect, and I can browse through summary and other tabs. Then after 5-10 minutes, I get the not responding message again.

Eloise, could you please tell if you have any error messages related to host connection establishment in VeeamDCS.log file?

Where is the VeeamDCS.log file? Have run a search on my computer but can't find it. Its a Windows 7 pc, if that makes any difference.

To find VeeamDCS.log, please navigate to Options->Server Settings->Logs
