Supress/exclude alarm daytime for one server

Post by Noiden »

Hello,

I have a virtual server thats running some network scans on daytime when all clients are online.
But the scan is using a lot of CPU.

So I just wan't to exclude the CPU alarm from 07:00-18:00 monday to friday but have it active rest of the time. Is it possible?
I can't find any time setting in the exclude settings.

I find time setting in the "Supress setting" directly on the alarm, but then it will be suppresed for all servers.

Kind Regards,
Noiden

Hello Noiden,

Yes, you're correct that suppress setting will affect all objects with this alarm defined. In order to workaround that I would suggest excluding this alarm for this object completely, and then copying existing CPU Usage alarm to create your custom suppress settings. After that, the newly copied alarm can be assigned on this object individually.

Thank you!
