My Customer has installed the Trial. He gets's plenty of Messages about Host Balloon memory utilization on different vSphere 5 Hosts. On this Details it says Memory Baloon (3977Mb), threshold 50Mb. Should he change all alarms by changing the threshold to 4000Mb?

Yes, you can adjust the threshold, however I wonder why the Balloon memory is so high. How many VMs do you have on these hosts? What is current hosts memory utilization?
