VEEAM One 8.0 on WinSRV 2016

Hi,

Can someone give the cue if there is any chance to install VEEAM One 8.0 on Windows Server 2016 STD?

I got Error:
"Veeam ONE Setup IIS configuration check failed. Error = 309"
I found that in 2015
"According to the official System Requirements, Windows 10/Windows Server 2016 is not currently supported."

Have something changed now? Any trick to Setup 8.0 vertion on Server 2016?
Upgrade VEEAM One to 9+ unfortunately is not an option.

As Veeam ONE v8 was released before WS 2016, it's not supported.
Could you explain why later ONE version is not an option?

I am planning to moove old VEEAM One 8.0 installation to new host server. Unfortunately I have no approval from company management to update license to latest vertion, so I got only 8.0 license.
I want to continue to use at least 8.0 vertion for monitoring of brench office Virtual Environment, and now trying to find solution how to setup it on host server with Windows Server 2016. Any official solution for this? Or it is technically impossible?

I see. There is no official solution as WS 2016 w/ ONEv8 configuration is not supported.
If WS 2016 is a host, you may try to run VM with WS2012R2 on the host and install Veeam ONE there.

Ok, then you right - best way would be to setup it in VM with Win SRV 2012.
