Which alert can I use to detect is there is any activity on the VM NIC?
Several of our VM on a particular cluster, the NIC stop working and we want to get alerted when that happens. The NIC shows connected on the machine, but traffic on the machines drops to 0.

Re: VM lost network connection
Hi Simon,
Yes, if you happen to have an internal failure then network resource usage alarm would work. On the other hand if you want to monitor NIC status on VMware level, then you can configure an alarm that would capture a corresponding failure event.
Thanks!
