About Entire VM Restore for Nutanix AHV is support Windows Server 2003/2008 ?

Post by Asahi »

Hi,

I have a question about Entire VM Restore from VMware vSphere to Nutanix AHV. :D
I have read about the precautions on the following website.
https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/van/u ... tml?ver=20

The VMware environment (ESXi 5.5 / 6.0) runs Windows Server 2003 and 2008.
The Nutanix AHV environment is assumed to be AOS 5.15.

If I entire restore Windows Server 2003/2008 to the Nutanix AHV environment, will the drivers etc. work properly?
I think this is probably something I should check with Nutanix AHV support, but I'd like to know if you have any information on Veeam's end that you know of.

Kind Regards,
Asahi,

Asahi, on the restore-to operation we attach the disks as SATA drives so that the VM will boot and run however do not inject any AHV VirtIO drivers. For networking to function properly the VirtIO network driver will need to be installed after the restore-to operation. It appears Nutanix probably still does support 2003 on AHV - https://portal.nutanix.com/page/documen ... ix/guestos
