AHV proxy on a different cluster
We want to facilitate backup of a Nutanix DMZ cluster. To limit data communication to the DMZ, i like to know if it is possible to run a AHV proxy on a different cluster than the cluster on which the backup is performed?

Re: AHV proxy on a different cluster
I think it would be possible via the manual deploy procedure (https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/van/u ... tml?ver=30) but I'm not so sure about whether it would be a supported configuration. I'll defer to QA on that topic...

Re: AHV proxy on a different cluster
It will not work even in manual deploy configuration, backup appliance should be located on the same cluster it protects

Re: AHV proxy on a different cluster
That was my idea to deploy it via the manual procedure and manually configure the connection to the dmz cluster.
@Kochkin: what is the reason this won't work?

Re: AHV proxy on a different cluster
You will need to add backup appliance to VBR, and that is only possible by selecting a machine on a cluster (you cannot just specify an IP of the appliance)
