AHV Proxy only process 4 VMs in parallel

Hello, anyone else have the same problem?
I configured a Proxy to run 20 Jobs in Parallel (RAM and CPU are also configured). But the Proxy is only processing 4 Disks in parallel.

On another Proxy I reduced the Jobs to 2 - this limitation works. If I increase to 5 - Only 4 Jobs are running.

The Limitation on the Repo is >25 or not limited - tested both.

I opened a Ticket at VEEAM support - but I want to know if anyone else has the same problem.

just to clarify: did you set 20 concurrent tasks on the Nutanix proxy?

4 Disks in parallel.

sounds strange... 4 VMs would be the default setting (4 tasks where I assume that you set it to 20), but disks sounds wrong (except 1 VM = 1 disk in your scenario)

Case number is 05312941 - Support gave it to higher level support.

And yes, ist set proxy to work with 20 Jobs - on VEEAM and checked in on the application.json.

But it seems to be strange that this isn't found before - I can reproduce this on 5 Clusters...

Does the QA did not detect this issue before? Does no other customers has this problem??? Seems to be strange that this problem is happend for so long time undetected...

we have the same problem,
Veeam Windows with 16CPU, 24GB RAM,
Veeam NUTANIX Proxy 16 concurrent tasl, so 16CPU, 16GB RAM
4 repository with each 4 concurrent job
when i run 4 job, one for repository, i want to see- 16 vm disk processing,
but instead i only see 1 job with 4 vm disk process, and the other 3 job waiting.

what to do? i have to open a case with veeam or you have a solution?

Hotfixes are provided via support, yes. The alternative is waiting until the fix makes it into a release (no timeline available).

@Marco - A hotfix was released and worked for AHV Proxies. Version is 3.1.42 - Please contact VEEAM Support to get the Patch. It seems to work fine.

AHV Backup Proxy creates one task per every VM processed by the job not by VM disk like for vSphere, The default value is set to 4.

@Hindawi - Yes, default is 4 - but as I wrote, we configured it for 20 - Also with required resources. Veeam Support has confirmed a BUG in the Proxy and released a Patch-Update 3.1.42 last week.

I am having a similar issue where I configured the AHV proxy for 32 concurrent tasks but it is still processing 4 vms concurrently.
The version of the AHV proxy is 3.1.36.
Is there any patch available for this bug or will there be a fix in a new release?
