For some strange reason about a week ago all of our workers on the Nutanix cluster had their vnics removed by what seems to be some kind of update by Veeam AHV. We didn't report it at the time because we were able to fix it by re-deploying the workers, but since I didn't see anyone else with the same problem maybe this isn't a common issue. We have our workers ticked to auto-update but I believe that's just an OS thing inside each VM, and not able to affect the config of the VM itself, however perhaps something Veeam AHV does can alter the vNICs of these machines. We certainly didn't do anything to prompt this, one day everything was working and the next all the backup jobs were stuck at 0% waiting for workers to self-test and they never completed those tests.
We are still on 6.8.0.5 of Nutanix so I don't expect any real support, we are waiting for 6.10.1 before upgrading.
