Hi,
am I right in the assumption, that there is no direct restore possibility from an AHV VM backup copy on tape (full VM restore or file level restore)?

Yes you're correct. Tape backups aren't directly visible to the AHV proxy...

So the only chance to restore from a tape copy would be to copy this backup from tape to disk as a first step, right?
Any information, if a direct restore will work in future versions (roadmap)?

Correct. We've had a few requests for this but no committed roadmap as yet...
