AD Authentication:
I assume there are plans to add AD authentication? Using a single shared admin account is obviously not ideal.

Veeam One:
Currently there is no way to add the AHV cluster to Veeam One in any way (as far as I can tell). Is this coming in a future update?

Job History:
I'm noticing in the History tab on the Veeam B&R server the AHV jobs show up as one line per protected VM instead of as a single job, which is different from how all other jobs show in history. Are there plans to standardize that in some way?

Yes, only one admin account for the Nutanix Proxy Appliance is too less and eMail notifications of B2D-jobs done by the Proxy Appliance to a VBR repository is a must have!

Is your post related to AHV?
I have email notifications configured on our veeam server, but I only get notifications from the configuration backup.
None of the proxy jobs are sending notifications.

There must have been sort of confusion - you're right in saying that the said notification is not supported by AHV jobs at this moment. Thanks!

In addition to adding e-mail notifications, how about some SNMP hooks so we can monitor status with tools such as Solarwinds? We have a regular occurrence where the proxy gets hung every 10 days or so causing snapshots to not get deleted from our Nutanix environment. Currently we have to manually monitor by logging in to both Veeam & Prism on a daily basis. I didn't have to manually monitor my backup status in 1999 and shouldn't have to do this in 2019.

For the hung issue, please report this to the support team so it can be investigated. They may ask for logs after you have an event/issue again.

FYI, I was able to use SSRS to tap into the veeam DB and create a "down and dirty" rudimentary report of the last x number of backups that ran and whether they were successful. I then created a subscription to be emailed daily.
Not optimal method, but, it works until Veeam can develop a nicer, more robust solution.

Perfect. Thanks for the feedback! This works, but it doesn't work the way Veeam notifications do...it would be a fair amount of work to make that happen...I would rather just wait for yours : )

Notifications are planned for the next release of Veeam Availability for Nutanix AHV. More details to follow on this in the next few months.

Besides many other features it has one you might find interesting:

Global email notifications configurable to notify you on a job success, warning, failure, or even the option to suppress notifications until the last Job retry.
