Multiply jobs
Hi,
I'm a newby at veeam.
We Uses Nutanix AHV and wants to runs the backups with veeam which runs in a trail mode.
I discoverd the backup looks nice and fast.
I miss the job notifications but read that's a common problem which will be solved in a feauture release.
Another problem I have is that I can one backup 1 VM at a time
When I start a backupjob which contains multiply VM's each VM will be backup after the other.
When I start 2 backup jobs which contains one of more VM's hte second job will wait until the first one is finished.
I have the next problem with this.
I like to secure:
Most of the servers, without frequent changed data, one time in a week,
Servers with frequently changing data ones a day and
One (our main) server One time in a hour 24 hours a day
When I schedule this jobs the hourly running job conflicts with the daily and weekly ones and have to wait until they are ready
Is there a way to schedule more as one backup at a time.
Best regards,
Peter Vroegop

Re: Multiply jobs
Hi Peter and welcome to the community!
Veeam Availability for Nutanix does provide a parallel processing: several jobs may run in parallel and several VMs can be backed up in parallel within a job. Default concurrency level is 3 VMs at a time)
How many CPU cores and GB RAM does the proxy have?
Also how many VMs and backup jobs do you have?
Thanks!

Re: Multiply jobs
For notification , see this KB article related to the V1 proxy.
https://www.veeam.com/kb2965
On your parallel processing, contact support as they will check your VM resources and assist it adding more parallelism.

Re: Multiply jobs
Here is a description how to create VM for Proxy Appliance.
Note that the VM must meet the following requirements:
2 CPUs, 2 cores per CPU plus 1 CPU core for each additional concurrent task (default concurrency level: 3 VMs at a time).
4GB RAM plus 1 GB for each concurrent task.
Thanks
