.NET Core runtime version EOL soon

Post by Coldfirex »

Howdy,
We are upgrading to V11 as well as to latest VeeamAHV 2.1.396. It looks like it comes with .NET Core runtime 2.1.x. We tried removing it since v11 includes 3.1.10 but the AHV part would not work.

I see that 2.1 goes out of support Sept 2021.
What is the plan on upgrading the .NET Core runtime?

Hi,

That has been already addressed and will be rolled out in the next AHV update.

Thanks!

Thanks. Will that be before the .NET goes EOL?

Right now we are pushing to make it available before the .NET dies.

Thanks!

This is part of the 3.0 release that comes in the 11A timeframe.

We will not be making these changes to V2.1.

Thanks. Does that mean not included as part of the 11a release?

11a refers to Veeam Backup & Replication.

It is our platform that many other components plug in to: all of our agents, enterprise application plug-ins, cloud-native backup appliances, as well as AHV Backup Proxy in question. We align release dates of these components to happen together or shortly after the Veeam Backup & Replication release they are dependent on.
