New Feature Request - AHV v2 next release

Post by lenniem »

Hi

Version 2 is a big jump from version 1, the email notification after a job completes make a huge difference, but I would like to request a feature for the next release.

Is it possible to bring in the scheduled job as with normal backup and recovery, where you can say, after job 1, job 2 must start and so forth? It will assist with scheduling as certain jobs need to be run in a specific order to make sure we would be able to recover completely. This means you only configure one job with a start time, and the rest are configured to follow as the job before it finishes.

Hello,
and welcome to the forums.

You can already do that today in the same way as it is recommended for VMware and Hyper-V VMs in Backup & Replication
- job 1 starts at 22:00
- job 2 starts at 22:01
- job 3 starts at 22:02

the later jobs will wait until there are free backup resources

Best regards,
Hannes
