Nutanix AHV and data integrity?
As data integrity is a very important part of a backup solution, I am wondering what options I have with Veeam Backup for Nutanix AHV to accomplish this.
Veeam Backup for Nutanix AHV 2.1 has the following limitations:
- Health check of backup files is not supported for backups created by AHV Backup Proxy.
- SureBackup is not supported for backups created by AHV Backup Proxy.
What options are available with Nutanix AHV to ensure data integrity?

Re: Nutanix AHV and data integrity?
I‘m doing manual testing of each vm with the help of „instant VM Recovery to vmware“ (hyperv also possible with Veeam V11) once in a month until there is a solution.
I can select all 100 vms and publish them to my vsphere hosts. After that, I will boot up each vm in 10-20er groups to check if vm is booting up.
I have todo the same for my Veeam Agent Backups

Re: Nutanix AHV and data integrity?
Unfortunately this is a 100% Nutanix environment, so Instant VM Recovery is not available. I guess the only option to validate data integrity is to manual restore VM's. That's a bummer and doesn't scale very well...

Also some other question related to data integrity, does Veeam Backup for Nutanix AHV support inline network traffic validation (e.g. from the AHV proxy to the repository)?

I do not know, if there is some validation on transport. Hopefully, someone from veeam can give us some technical insights.

Re: Nutanix AHV and data integrity?
Hi,
As for the additional CRC performed by Veeam target data mover (backup repository) for disks data - I will check that and get back to you.
Thanks!
Standard TCP level CRC is still there, if that's what you are asking about.does Veeam Backup for Nutanix AHV support inline network traffic validation (e.g. from the AHV proxy to the repository)?
