Hi,
My customer has 70TB of VMware VMs and needs to use Nutanix MINE as a backup target. Based on the repository sizing tool rps.dewin.me , the required backup disk storage capacity is around 85TB in case a plain block storage is used as a target. What would be the required backup disk storage capacity in case of using Nutanix MINE as a target?
Nutanix MINE is available in different t-shirt sizes from x-small to large. A small appliance offers 60-100TB effective capacity https://portal.nutanix.com/page/documen ... =Mine:Mine
Note:
85TB is calculated based on 70TB data size, 5% change rate, 50% Veeam reduction, 30 days forever inc. Overhead still to be considered.
Thank you.

Re: Nutanix MINE repository sizing
Hi Islam, the Small sounds like it should fit your customer's needs based on the description. The effective capacity estimate is based on applying Nutanix's replication factor for redundancy and using Veeam's deduplication and compression for capacity optimization. It will vary depending on the actual dataset hence the estimated range.
