Hi,
Like many we are considering discontinuing our vmware infrastructure and migrate our virtual workloads to Nutanix AHV.
I'm trying to get a good picture of differences in features. Is there a Veeam Official document somewhere that shows the feature differences?
I have been comparing the User Guides for the vSphere
https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=120
and Nutanix
https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/vbahv ... html?ver=6
If I search for ‘transaction log’ there is a chapter on Transaction log backups for vSphere, but not for Nutanix AHV.

Is it not possible to backup SQL server transaction log on SQL server running as VM in Nutanix AHV as can be done in vSphere?
#2
Does this document exist for AHV 6?
https://www.veeam.com/veeam_backup_nuta ... new_wn.pdf

Is there anywhere I can see Veeam official information about feature difference and the roadmap for Nutanix AHV features?
Regards,
Jóhannes

Re: Nutanix vs vSphere - Veeam feature comparison
@johannesk unfortunately we don't have anything "official" we can share publicly however your Veeam SE can provide some additional insight. Application-aware processing (database log shipping, etc.) for AHV is a VERY high priority for us currently and we hope to debut it sooner rather than later however I cannot provide any specific timing. "What's New" documentation has been moved into the release notes see - https://helpcenter.veeam.com/rn/veeam_b ... version-6-. We do not share our roadmaps publicly...

Re: Nutanix vs vSphere - Veeam feature comparison
@johannesk we just released a new version of our AHV integration (v7.0) along with VBR 12.3. This version includes application-aware processing (including log shipping) for AHV. Note that while we're confident in this new capability for the overwhelming majority of deployment scenarios we're not quite finished fully regression testing it so it currently has an "experimental" designation (see https://www.veeam.com/kb2976). It is supported functionality and cases may be opened with our technical support team should you encounter any issues.
