Hey everyone
I have a Nutanix AHV cluster and a VBR server on Site A
I backup the AHV VMs on a repository on Site A and then do a Backup Copy Job to send the backup files to a repository on Site B, where there is a second VBR instance and a VMware vSphere cluster on third-party storage (array)
If I want to restore my AHV VM to the vSphere cluster I understand I will have to do a VM Instant Recovery operation then proceed to Migrate to Production (Full Restore is not available apparently, you have to go through the Instant VM Recovery for some reason, correct me if I'm wrong).
Now, my question is, can I do Instant Recovery from a Backup Copy Job backup file or I should have the VBR on Site B backup the VM on Site A directly in order for it to work?
Thank you!

Re: Restore VM from AHV to VMware vSphere
Hello,
Yes. As the button is available (Home -> backups -> disk (copy) - backup copy job name -> vm -> instant recovery), I ask myself, whether you have seen any issues?
Best regards,
Hannes
