Share feedback/insights about NTNX Self-Service (ex Calm)

Hi,

I am looking for someone who can share an experience of self-service being enabled on Prism Central, as well as using Veeam to back up and externalize the workload.
We are not looking at giving users the ability to execute a runbook to backup. All scheduling is going to append on the Veeam while VMs are going to be in "projects" aka Tenants on Prism Central.

Hi @orb we currently do not support Prism Central with our current Veeam Backup for Nutanix product. It will supported in a future release VBN v6 TBD. This would be more of a feature request for using Nutanix Self-Service. Please work with your Veeam account team and provide them more details about your request. Thank you for your request:D .

Thank you for clarifying the current limitations and future plans.

I'd like to inquire further about the possibility of including category-based selection as well. We're not necessarily seeking tenant accessibility akin to vCD, but having that capability could be a nice addition.

While we're on the subject of potential enhancements, I'm curious – are there any plans to introduce disaster recovery (DR) capabilities with Veeam (VCC)? And perhaps, although this might be a stretch, cross-DR functionality? I understand if these are far-fetched ideas at the moment, but I thought it wouldn't hurt to explore the possibilities.

JHo @orb VBN AHV v6 will have the capability of using categories. It is currently in beta mode. Work with your local SE team to get access to bits. We will also have the capability to backup from a replica in the new version. The other features you mentioned VCC are being considered. There is currently no ETA on them at the moment .
