Version(s) question

Post by MNCowboy »

Hello -
Is this still a true statement? >https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=110
"Are you using Veeam Backup & Replication within the infrastructure of Nutanix Mine version 2.0.1 or earlier? If yes, it is not recommended to manually upgrade to Veeam Backup & Replication 11. Full compatibility with Veeam Backup & Replication 11 will be implemented in the upcoming release of Nutanix Mine 3.0."

I ask because looking through this forum, others are on VBR v11 and ericshott says the current version is 2.1.396(V2.1). So, I'm confused.

Our environment: Nutanix Mine Version 1.0.1014.182 -"YOUR VERSION IS UP TO DATE"
AOS Mine Cluster: 5.15.5 LTS (5.15.5.1 is available)
Foundation: 4.6.2 (5.0.1 is available)
AHV VERSION NUTANIX 20190916.410

Should I (can I) upgrade VBR to v11? Should I upgrade other components first?

I came from a VMWare environment, so this is still a little new to me. Thanks for your patience.

I would wait as recommended in the upgrade guide, if you are using Nutanix Mine as a backup server.
Veeam Backup for Nutanix AHV 3.0 isn‘t released yet.

Yes still a true statement. I think what may be causing confusion is that this forum is primarily focused on our AHV integration bits and not Mine. Yes our v2.1 AHV integration is designed to work with VBR v11 however this not directly related to Mine and it's versioning/development process...
