Why is required the DHCP?

Hi everyone, could someone explain me why is required the DHCP during proxy appliance deploy? Thank you!

for the initial deployment, dhcp makes it easier to initially find and get into the web UI to complete setup.

We decided to document this method as it is easier for most users.

Once setup, you can configure static only addresses so there is no ongoing requirement for the proxy to be utilizing dhcp
