How to use virtual-hosted–style for access to OBS?

Post by arthur.l »

Hello,

We are now trying to add S3 Compatible Storage as a backup repository in VBR 12. We try to input the service point as virtual-hosted–style (e.g. https://bucket1.obs.com) but failed to browse the buckets in the next step.

So we would like to know if VBR 12 supports such S3 url type in adding new backup repositories? Is there any related guide to help us correctly configure?

Thanks.

We support both path-style and virtual-hosted style. Here is some additional information https://forums.veeam.com/object-storag ... 80601.html

Thank you for quick response, Steve.

Is there a detailed guide for configuring virtual-hosted style in Veeam?

As mentioned in the referenced thread, there is no public documentation about that, but if adding an S3-compatible object storage repository fails, you can collect debug logs and open the support ticket with us, so we can investigate the issue further. Thanks!
