Use Azure PartitionedDnsPublicPreview Storage Accounts as target

Post by final »

Hi,

As far as I can tell, when adding an Azure Blob Storage Backup repository, Veeam infers the repository's URL from the storage account name. Basically, I assume the url is always [accountname].blob.core.windows.net.

Azure has a preview feature Microsoft.Storage.PartitionedDnsPublicPreview (since 2022), which allows for the creation of more storage accounts per subscription (5000 instead of 250). As far as I can tell, the only difference is that the Blob storage's URL changes to [accountname].zxx.blob.storage.azure.net, where xx is a random integer between 00 and 99. See this fore more info.

Is it possible to use such storage accounts as backup target in Veeam?

Thanks!
