I have 18 locations all with their own Veeam Backup and Replication server.
I am looking to start using cloud object storage with Wasabi or 1111 Systems.
My question is
Can I use a single tenant and create multiple buckets for each location mapping each veeam server to its own bucket?
What would be the best practice ?
thank you
SAM

Re: Best Practice to setup Cloud Object storage for multiple Veeam Backup Servers
Hi Sam
A single tenant is ok. I recommend to use dedicated buckets per location. It helps to keep the number of objects on a single bucket smaller.
If you want to control access to the buckets per Veeam location you can use S3 permissions for the access keys to hide all buckets and only allow write/read to a bucket for a specific Veeam backup server.
Best,
Fabian

Thank you Fabian,
Yes I had to double check with my cloud provider. At first they told me i could not do that. Then I got a reply saying that they were wrong. i need to create different buckets for each VBR server.
Thanks for your reply.
