Change the offload schedule
Hi.
Is it possible to disable the offload tier scheduling (4 hours) during the day?
We have a few customers with very poor internet and it seems to use the whole bandwith.

Re: Change the offload schedule
Hello,
network traffic rules to internet set to a very low value during the day should do what the customer needs: https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=110
Best regards,
Hannes

Re: Change the offload schedule
Thanks!
Just read a blog saying that this wouldn't work on object storage but that didn't make any sense.
I will try this straight away and give an updated here.
But the 4-hour is hard-coded and can not be disabled, right? Just so I know for learning if customers is asking

You can also simply set the hours that the sobr is allowed to perform offload tasks. This is configurable in the sobr settings.
Has a graph for allowing or disallowing during the specified time periods.

Re: Change the offload schedule
yes, what David said is by far the better answer. No idea why I came up with that traffic shaping thing

Re: Change the offload schedule
I have my SOBR window all open to continuously offload and I have a throttling rule to use only 20mbps during working hours but when it's past the working hours then it is still using the 20mbps throttling. shouldn't it be disabled and use the entire bandwidth then?

Hello Armin,
If you followed this guide page, then Traffic Throttling should work properly.
Please open a support case and provide a case ID in this thread so we could collect all the additional details and investigate it accordingly.
Thanks.

[MERGED] Offload Job run every 4 hours
By default the offload job is run against the data located on the Performance Tier extents of the SOBR every 4 hours.
So want to know how to change it from 4 hours to 12 hours, because my offloading runs for 12 hours and every fours new jobs started and get failed with below error.
"Required backup files were not released after set interval , cancelling the job."

Hi Jony,
Moved your post to the existing thread with discussion on the offload jobs schedule.
Here you can find even a reg key for the scheduling.
Thanks!
