Connecting to AWS external repository
Hi all,
I'm trying to connect an external repository, however when I try and select the "folder" to save my backups to I can't see it listed?
The folder exists, and visible from the AWS console.
Appreciate any help.

Re: Connecting to AWS external repository
External repository only works with N2Ws Backup & Recovery as explained in our user guide. Could you explain what your goal is? If you want to tier backups to S3, you can do this via Capacity Tier.

Then you can leverage capacity tier to achieve this.

Re: Connecting to AWS external repository
I put the link to the user guide in my previous post. To configure it, you'll have to add a scale-out backup repository and add the object storage to it via the wizard.

I don't have an option to add a scale out repository?

Re: Connecting to AWS external repository
This option is not available in the Standard Edition, so that could be the only reason why you are not seeing it. Otherwise, feel free to contact support for assistance. Thanks!

Re: Connecting to AWS external repository
I'm already backing up to another local location which is managed by veeam, if I just sync that folder to AWS that shouldn't cause any issues?
I'd be able to use those backup files for a restore in case of the local versions weren't available?
Cheers

Re: Connecting to AWS external repository
How exactly are you planning to sync local folder to object storage? Thanks!
