Data Domain with Veeam Cloud Tier

Post by stevekarra »

Can anyone confirm if this works, and if so just for CIFS/NFS or also DDBoost.

Thanks.

Hello,
and welcome to the forums.

Yes, it works. It does not matter which protocol or backup device you use. The only thing you need a a backup mode that produces "sealed chains" - but this is mandatory for Data Domain anyway.

Best regards,
Hannes

By the way, VB&R is smart enough to apply compression to data transferred to cloud (that typically resides on dedupe appliances in uncompressed state). Thanks!
