Hello,
We are currently using domain name to access to our object storage as we would like to make use of dynamic DNS. And we notice that VBR keeps using one single IP address which is resolved from domain name during backup and restore.
Does VBR save the resolved IP address during creation of the object storage repository? There are scenarios that some IP addresses may not be available during backup and restore, so we would like VBR actively try to connect to different IP addresses instead of insisting on one single address which is not available at the moment.
Hope there is a setting that could help us to configure DDNS on the VBR side for the above scenario.
Thanks.

Re: Does VBR support dynamic DNS for access to object storage?
Hello,
I remember DNS responses to be cached for some time, but it should work in general if the IPs don't change too often. A regularly scheduled "ipconfig /flushdns" might also help.
Asking the other way around: did you see any issues?
Best regards,
Hannes

Thanks Hannes. We will try that command.
We did meet a connection timeout issue in this scenario. Case number is #06409592.
