Email notifications with SOBR Tiering jobs

Hi,

I recently raised support ID #04213995 as we now have a growing number of clients using Azure Blob Storage as part of a Scale out Backup Repository setup (which is working great!) the only hitch is there is no email notification support as far as I'm aware. We use "Copy Backups to object storage as soon as they are created" and the ability to VBR to report back to us on successful or failed SOBR tiering jobs would be great.

We aren't licensed for Veeam One /VBEM that may have advanced email notifications.

Hello, actually I believe the daily SOBR status email report will show any offload failures. But I might be wrong. Are you receiving one? It is sent to everyone specified in the global email notification settings. Thanks!

Exactly. As stated here:

Status. Shows the status of an object storage repository, as described in Description of Report Statuses.
If an automatic offload job session exits with any status other than Success, you will see the associated status message in this field.

You can also trigger sending report manually with Send-VBRScaleOutBackupRepositoryReport cmdlet. Thanks!

Hi All,

I have this working with the Powershell links above thanks. It would be nice if we could get the status of the SOBR to display in the email subject line. Its currently in the body (Success).

Anyone got any tips on pulling the status of a SOBR from Veeam and getting it on the subject line please?

@veremin can you please look at moving status SOBR status into the subject line in v11?
Just like we have in the job email reports, I believe they too start from the status entry.
I'm surprised it's not like that already for the SOBR report.

And may be also check the daily VCC infrastructure report for the same.

Hi, can somebody confirm if the email alerts regarding offload of SOBR jobs to the cloud was included in version 11? I can't find information about this.

I can confirm it.
Daily SOBR status mail looks like this if the offload has failed:

[Error] Scale-out Backup Repository: SOBR_Name

Veeam Backup & Replication 11.0.0.837
