Hi,
we are looking for expected throughput numbers for the offloading backups from performance tier to an on premises Object storage device within a SOBR. Frontend of the S3 endpoint is 10G, and extents are also connected to this network with 10G.
currently we see some peaks to 160 MBps, is this expected or should this value be higher ?
thanks !

Re: expected offload throughput on premises S3 ( SOBR )
Hi
it’s really hard to give you an estimation as it heavily depends on the environment you look at.
Esp. type and speed of source storage (performance tier) as well as type and size of object storage you use.
Like with any other regular storage system there are better and worse configurations but we have seen very good numbers already.
Let me know.
Thanks
