Hello Everyone
We are evaluating to change our monthly backups from tape to cloud with AWS, we have a job for our file server and the full backup file size is around 8 TB, if for some reasson I need recover some files from a full backup stored in the capacity tier in AWS, it will download the entire backup file to recover only some files?
if not how does veeam recover that files from a backup stored in the capacity tier?
Regards

Re: File lever restore from capacity tier
Hello,
No - we restore directly from S3 storage, without downloading the entire backup file first.
There's no differences comparing to how we do restores from regular repositories.
In both cases, only required blocks will be read from backup.
Thanks!
