Hi all
According to the documentation, VBR 12.2 is able to move outdated backups directly from performance tier to archive tier. https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=120
How can this be accomplished in the console? I want to move backups which aren't yet falling in the archiving timeframe but I'm positive won't be needed anymore from performance to archive tier with Azure Blob Storage.
I've also searched the forum for this but wasn't able to find an answer for this.

Re: How to move backups from performance to archive tier?
Hello Philipp
What kind of backups do you want to move?
You can only move specific types of backups. VeeamZIP, Exported backups and backups with GFS tags.
Best,
Fabian

Re: How to move backups from performance to archive tier?
Hello Fabian
I've exported VMware Backups to a SOBR.
It's now lying on the performance tier and I want to move it to the archive tier, but I don't see any option in the move or copy backup window.

Re: How to move backups from performance to archive tier?
Hi Philipp
You can start the archival session (Run Tiering Job Now) by pressing CRTL+right click on your SOBR.
That will allow you to start the archival session. Exported backups should be automatically moved if they are stored on the performance tier extend. Make sure the export has a retention date applied which is longer than the "minimal storage period". In case of Azure it is 180 days.

If the offload still doesn't happen, please contact our customer support team to have a look at the logs.
