IBM Cloud Object Storage immutability

Post by flow »

Hello,
I'm currently desperate about my IBM COS. I have now set object lock for my Container Vaults but when adding it as a repository, Veeam thinks that immutability cannot be set. Does anyone know what else I need to set on the COS?

Greetings

Hi flow

Did you make sure your IBM COS version does support immutable buckets with Veeam? Our unofficial support list mentions ClevOS™ 3.17.2 or later.

If thats the case, then please proceed with a support case. We cannot troubleshoot technical issues over this forum (as explained in our forum policy). Don't forget to share case number.

Best,
Fabian

PS: support can only help if you upload logs https://www.veeam.com/kb1832

Good morning Fabian,

I just checked that, we are using 3.18.0.52. and you can configure object lock for the buckets there. Thanks for the tip, but I'll probably open a support case. I'll collect all the logs and screenshots and get back to you. Thanks in advance

Kind regards
